What is the difference between the three statement formats?

A Transaction Statement lists every invoice, payment, credit, and adjustment that occurred during the statement period in chronological order — it is the most detailed format. An Open Item Statement shows only invoices that are currently unpaid, regardless of when they were issued — useful for collections. A Balance Forward Statement starts with a carried-over balance from the previous period and then lists new activity, similar to a bank statement — preferred by businesses that bill on account monthly.

How does the aging analysis work?

Aging is calculated from the due date of each unpaid invoice to the statement date. Kantivo automatically sorts outstanding balances into the standard aging buckets — Current, 1-30 days, 31-60 days, 61-90 days, and over 90 days — and displays a summary table at the bottom of each statement. No manual calculation required.

Can I generate statements for all my customers at once?

Yes. Batch generation lets you produce statements for all customers who have an outstanding balance in a single step. You can optionally filter the batch to include only customers whose balance exceeds a minimum threshold, so you are not generating statements for trivial amounts.

Does the statement include my company logo and contact information?

Yes. Statements use your company profile information including your business name, address, phone number, and logo. The output is a clean, professional document that is ready to send to customers without any additional formatting.

Can customers be emailed their statements directly from Kantivo?

Statements can be downloaded as individual PDFs and sent via your normal email workflow. Direct in-app email delivery to customers is on the roadmap for a future release.
