Where this came from
Of everything a business runs on, its books are the hardest to walk away from. Years of invoices, reconciliations and closed periods sit in one file, and switching means moving all of it. Anyone who sells accounting software understands that, which is why the renewal quietly climbs — the increase is not a reflection of a better year's work, it is a reflection of how awkward leaving would be.
We did not want to price that way. Holding your rate for twelve years takes the lever away from us on purpose: the only thing keeping you here in year six is whether the software still earns its place.
It is a promise we can keep because Kantivo runs on your own machine. We are not paying to host your data, so our costs do not rise as your file grows or your team does. That saving is real, and we would rather return it as a number that never moves than pocket it through an annual rise.

The 12-Year Price Lock applies to your subscription tier rate. If you upgrade to a higher tier, the new tier's current rate becomes your locked rate. Taxes and payment processing fees from third parties (Stripe, PayPal) are separate and not controlled by Kantivo.
